When JL asked me if she can buy something (that I don't think necessary), my standard answer was "No, I haven't got money" and she'll say "Okay then" I'm grateful that she's not the type of children who nag and nag and nag when she wants something (She was like that though when she was younger). I guess she knows that I have to work when she sleeps comfortably in her bed and money is hard earned.
She was on the phone with my mum. Mum asked her if she wants to go on the aeroplane with her xiao yi (Ika is flying back home in Feb next year). Kids are usually very keen on going on the aeroplane. So does she. As much as she wants to go on the plane, she knows that air ticket doesn't come cheap. My mum asked her again if she wants to. She replied, "JL pikir2 dulu deh" (I'll think about it first)
Afterwards, I asked her if she wants to. I told her that I'll buy her a ticket if she wants to go. She was a bit hesitant then said, "Tapi kan mami ga punya duit" (But you haven't got money). Ah, so that is why she told my mum that she needs to think about it first.
Anyway, I just found out that school term next year starts on 4th of Feb (Ika's going on 2nd of Feb til 28th of Feb). So she can't go anyway even if she wants to. It's her first year of school next year and I don't want her to miss out on her first days cos I'm afraid if she goes to school 3 weeks after it starts, all her classmates will group together and she feels left out.
I asked Ika if she's willing to take JH with her.... Nope, she's scared of him crying hahaha
